This camp is designed for players to learn the complexity of all infield positions. We will even spend a small amount of time at first base. Let’s face it, a player who has the grasp of all four infield positions, will definitely have the advantage over the one dimensional player at the higher levels. All aspects of each position will be covered. A high percentage of our campers, see themselves as shortstops and second baseman, but restricting yourself to one or two positions, is not good for your development. Many of our all time middle infield alumni; have had to move to other positions as they moved up the ladder of baseball. Here are just three examples. All of these former campers started coming to camp before they were 10 years old. Chris Minaker of the Seattle Mariners played some outfield and third base in college. He was the starting shortstop his junior and senior year. In the pro’s he is an everyday second baseman. All-American second baseman Justin Fuller now plays shortstop, second base and even some third in the Los Angeles Dodgers organization. Matt Hague was a high school pitcher/ shortstop, in college a right fielder and third baseman. Now in the Pirates organization, he is playing both corner outfield spots as well as third and first base. The more versatility you can show coaches, the bigger advantage you have at the higher levels.

Middle Infielders will always be highly sought after players at all levels of baseball, especially in the collegiate and professional ranks. Our success of developing middle infielders in this area in the past and present is unequalled. This camp will cover all the skills and techniques necessary to enhance your chances.

The truth of the matter is that if you don’t master double play feeds and pivots, your chance at playing at the higher levels is greatly diminished. The one thing that separates all of our top middle infield alumni has been there ability to turn the double play quickly and efficiently. All four days of this camp will be dedicated to teaching in detail the finer aspects of turning the double play. Such as double play depth, speed and control to the set position, deflecting, turning pivots on bad feeds, developing proper footwork and balance, holds-back peddling to position, decreasing pop to pop times, communication, avoiding oncoming runners, replacing feet, one and outs, over the bag flips and feeds, and all feeds and pivots techniques needed to become a quality middle infielder.

This camp will be all about making the tough play. When pro scouts or college coaches talk about prospects that are playmakers, what do they mean? What they’re looking for are infielders that have skill, athleticism, speed and control, exceptional balance and can throw from different body positions and have a extremely quick catch and release technique. All of these aspects will be covered in this camp. This is a must for the serious infielder.

We are excited about offering our first ever Outdoor hitting camp. Kids will get the same great instruction as our indoor camps, but get the chance to see ball flight and direction with on the field hitting. White Center provides us with a great place to conduct this camp for kids of all ages. This camp will fill up fast and will be limited to 25 campers.
